The Argyle Farmers Market Made It’s Debut!

The Argyle Farmers Market

Farm Fresh Goods!

Last Saturday, the Argyle Farmers Market hosted their first ever farmers market in the backyard of Argyle Party and Gift off of 377. Agricultural producers within a 100 mile radius of Argyle were in attendance.

Goods that could be found included fresh produce, eggs, chicken, pork, gluten free options, chips and salsa, sourdough, fresh flowers, jams and much more. But, the hot ticket items that went fast were fresh produce, chicken and pork.

The farmers market was a huge success for the community where the over 400 people in attendance were able to shop farm fresh. The next market will be held on June 8th and will include more agricultural vendors. We hear there’s even fresh pickles coming next month!

In keeping with the sense of community, The Argyle Farmers Market partners each month with a non profit or community education opportunity. This past month they partnered with the Argyle Food Bank. Market goers were encouraged to bring non-perishable items and drop them off at the food bank’s booth.

The farmers market will be held the second Saturday of the month from 9am to noon, running from April to October.

If you would like to be considered, or know someone who would be interested in participating in the Argyle Farmer’s Market, apply on their website, www.argylefarmersmarket.com.
